Artwork Guidelines: Yays and Nays!

Bleed, Safe Area and Trim explained...

KEY
Safe Area
Make sure any text or sensitive information is contained in the box, otherwise it could get cut off.
Trim
This is where we aim to cut your cards.
Bleed area
We cut the bleed area off your cards to avoid white strips on the edge. Make sure any images or colours fill this area.

Tip #1
Make sure your text is inside the safe area otherwise it may get cut off.
Tip #2
Make sure your image is full bleed, otherwise your cards may have ugly white edges.
Tip #3
Make sure your design is the right size. If it doesn't fit, use our tool to zoom in.
Tip #5
If your design looks blocky on screen, or you see a low resolution warning on screen, you need to get a higher resolution version.

Sadly the use of borders can result in lopsided cards, and we wouldn't want that, so avoid them where possible.
Tip #7
When using our online templates, make sure your photo goes right to the edge of the card. If you move it away from the edges, you may get a strip of the background colour at the side of your cards.
