Well, that depends on the product you're ordering, we have different paper, and different finishes available.
There's a choice of premium paper for MOO Business Cards.
MOO Classic: is crisp white and has a matte laminate that's smooth to touch. The card is sourced from sustainable forests and is Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF). It's thicker than most business cards, at 350 gsm / 16pt. Some people would say this paper has a 'satin' finish, and others, 'silk'.
MOO Green: is white, unflecked and without a laminate. It's made in a factory powered by sustainable energy, 100% recycled, recyclable, and free of harmful chemicals. It's about as green as a business card can get. It has a light coating, to help achieve the very best print quality. At 352gsm / 16pt, this is the thickest 100% recycled paper we could find.
Luxe, by MOO is our top-of-the-line paper stock. It's a 600gsm (32pt) stock, surfaced with Mohawk's renouned Superfine stock. You can choose an optional colour seam that runs through the middle of the card for a final flourish. Luxe is a white, unlaminated paper, with a rich grain and luxurious feel. Produced using windpower, in the same factory as our Green stock, it's amazing, yet green.
MiniCards are printed on the premium MOO Classic paper (see above), and finished with a matte laminate, in the same way.
The card for our Postcards is 350 gsm / 16pt, sourced from sustainable forests and is Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF). It has a glossy finish on the image side, giving the Postcards a professional, high quality feel.
This is a thick 340gsm, FSC credited paper stock. With a light satin coating on the outside, the inside is left uncoated, making it easier for you to write your own message. Each card is individually scored, ensuring a clean fold.
Not at the moment, but this is something we might offer in the future.
It is possible to write on MOO Classic MiniCards and Business Cards, but you'll need a permanent pen, due to the laminate coating.
MOO Green Business Cards are easier to write on, and you should be ok with a standard ball point pen.
A lot of care and attention goes into choosing the paper for MOO. We love to print, and think only the best, premium paper will do.
