It’s time to put down that sticky glue-gun, fasten the lids on your favourite pot of glitter and tidy away the beads, buttons and bows – the MOO MiniGift Box Competition is over.
Thank you to everyone who took part, but the deadline for the competition has now passed and the judges are forming their opinions on the finalists, ready to give the results in January 2010.
In case you’d forgotten (or perhaps didn’t know) the competition is being judged by MOO’s very own Product Designer (Paul) and Creative Director (Denise) along with Michael Craig – Design Director at Etsy.
Every entry we received was unique, and truly creative. The judges have got some tough decisions to make in awarding the prizes to our lucky winners. To see what a tough job the judges have, take a look at all of the entries, and pick your favourite.
From the thoroughly festive…
To the perfect purse for a night on the town…
and the out of this world…
As a reminder, the two categories the judges will be awarding prizes for are:
Oh, and the prizes are as follows:
Our judges (Design Director of Etsy, Michael Craig, MOO’s Creative Director, Denise and MOO’s Product Designer Paul) after much head-scratching and debate, decided upon some winners! They all win a Mosaic Frame and a pack of MiniCards.
Best reuse of a MiniCard box as festive gift wrap: Bcome
Our judges loved the simplicity of this design and it’s Japanese influences. Understated and smart, this box is festive enough to use to wrap a Christmas gift, yet stylish enough to use all year round.
Best reuse of a MiniCard box as packaging design: Hine Mizushima
Our judges loved the attention to detail on this – not to mention the ‘cute factor’! The box has been transformed, given a whole new lease of life – and yes, it still opens and closes just like a MiniCard box should.
Special award: Doreen Kassel
Each of our three judges were blown away by this amazing polymer clay creation. ‘It’s like an exhibit from an Egyptian museum!’ ‘Or a fairytale’ – take our word for it, they were impressed, and thought it deserved a special prize all of its own.
When are you going to do Headed note paper?
I need Headed note papaer and business cards from just one company, instead of going to different companies for one set of products.
This has to be a line that the compnay is missing out on as there must be 100′s of others like me.
Hi Stephen, this isn’t something we have planned for the immediate future, but could be something we consider if there is enough demand. Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for making it so easy to upload designs! I’ve had horrendous experiences with other companies.
Are you likely to be doing photograph album type things?
Look forward to my post
Happy new year
Bingy
I wish we had something like this in Denmark
Hi Denise
Im with Stephen – You could REALLY benefit from doing Headed Paper as well. I have all of our business cards and postcards from you but would love the same matching Headed paper and stationary. Just thought I’d let you know there is demand people just don’t always comment! Please consider?
Any news on when the winners will be announced? I take it the judges must be having a hard time making up their minds!
